How companies could use CorpHands

Four illustrative scenarios based on common situations in the US. They are examples, not customer stories: the companies and figures are invented to show how the product works.

Illustrative examples. These are not real customers, and the numbers are for illustration only.
Illustrative example

A retailer's MLK Day of Service

A retailer with 1,500 staff across three states wants more people to join MLK Day of Service than last year's email sign-up managed.

  • Creates a campaign from the MLK Day of Service template with an hours goal
  • Publishes food bank shifts and park clean-ups near each store and notifies everyone
  • Staff join from their phones; waitlists fill cancellations
  • QR check-in at each site; hours approve automatically
  • After the day, the campaign page shows hours against the goal

A company's giving at year end

A company gives to two dozen nonprofits through the year and wants its tax adviser to have the deduction estimate under the new 1% floor, and the paperwork that is missing, before the return is due.

  • Records each nonprofit's EIN and 501(c)(3) status, and marks city partners as government bodies
  • Marks every payment as a donation or sponsorship, cash or in-kind, with the receipt number
  • Sets the fiscal year to match the tax year and enters taxable income
  • Opens Giving and tax: the floor, the ceiling, the estimated deduction and the records to check
  • Downloads the CSV for the adviser and the US report pack for the impact report

  • Creates skills-based activities with small capacities
  • Employees add skills to their profiles
  • Hours are logged over several sessions with evidence
  • Employees earn the Skills mentor badge
  • Reports show hours by category, including skills-based work
