Problems we solve
Community programmes are hard to run on WhatsApp and Excel
These are the issues HR and CSR teams tell us about most.
01
Scattered organisation
Sign-ups, reminders and attendance live in Teams chats, WhatsApp groups, emails and spreadsheets, and get lost.
02
Weeks lost at report time
Qualifying donations for the tax return, community investment figures and social value reports take weeks to collect, and nobody can trace where they came from.
03
Promises you can't evidence
Bids commit to social value, but nobody can show the volunteering behind each contract until the buyer asks.
04
Charity details hard to track
It is hard to keep each charity's register number, HMRC reference and documents up to date, and reviews are missed.
05
Donations mixed with sponsorship
Community spending sits in separate spreadsheets, so nobody can say what was a donation, what was sponsorship and which charities had a number on file.
06
Low participation
The same few people volunteer every time, and most staff never hear about activities.
07
Photos without consent
Pictures of beneficiaries get shared without permission. Under UK GDPR, consent should be on record first.
08
Untracked volunteer leave
Paid volunteering days are not recorded, so managers don't know who is away.
09
No proof of impact
Nobody measures whether activities helped anyone, or whether employees found them worthwhile.
10
No group-wide picture
Groups with many companies and sites can't see one combined view.

United Kingdom
What matters in the UK
No law requires CSR spending
UK companies are not required to spend a share of profit on CSR. What they deal with is tax relief on charitable giving, social value in public contracts, and what they tell the board and investors about their impact on communities.
Corporation Tax relief on charitable donations
Cash donations to charities are qualifying charitable donations: deducted from total profits in the accounting period they are paid, up to the amount that reduces profits to nil, with no carry-forward. Sponsorship and staff volunteering in work time are business expenses, and donations to a community interest company are not charitable donations. CorpHands lists the qualifying donations for the period and the payments to check.
Social value in public contracts
The Procurement Act 2023 has applied to new procurements since 24 February 2025. Under PPN 002 and its Social Value Model, central government buyers give social value at least 10% of the total score, and suppliers report delivery with standard metrics, by UK region. CorpHands gives you evidence for metrics such as 3bi (community engagement activities), for the year or for one campaign.
Community investment in the B4SI shape
Many UK companies report community investment with the B4SI framework: inputs (cash, time, in-kind and management costs), outputs and impacts. CorpHands records cash, the cost of volunteering time and in-kind gifts in that shape; you add your management costs.
Section 172 and UK SRS
Large companies explain in a section 172 statement how directors had regard to matters including the company's impact on the community. UK SRS S1 and S2 were published on 25 February 2026 for voluntary use; the FCA's final rules (PS26/19, September 2026) ask UK-listed companies to report against UK SRS on a comply-or-explain basis for financial years starting on or after 1 January 2027. CorpHands supplies community figures, not climate disclosures.
Charities, and data protection
CorpHands records each charity's number with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR in Scotland or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, its HMRC charity reference and Companies House number. Nothing is required and nothing is blocked. Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the current rules with your legal team.

Your account and all its data hosted in the country you choose
Fully managed by CorpHands: updates, backups and monitoring included
No. Your company pays charities directly from its own bank account. CorpHands only records the donation and stores the charity's receipt.
Does CorpHands run Payroll Giving or claim Gift Aid?
No. CorpHands does not process donations, Payroll Giving or Gift Aid. It records your company's volunteering and the payments your company makes to charities, each marked as a donation or sponsorship.
Where is our data stored?
On the secure CorpHands cloud. If your policy requires a specific hosting country, we can host your account there on request. Or choose private hosting on your own servers.
How does private hosting work?
We install CorpHands on your servers or your company's cloud account and maintain it for you. It costs £24,000 one-time setup plus £12,000 per year, on top of an Enterprise plan.
What does the free trial include?
30 days with every feature included, so you can try the full product. No payment card is needed.
How long is the contract?
One year, paid yearly. You can change plans at renewal.
How fast can we start?
Most companies are running within a day: upload your employee list, add your charity partners and publish your first activity.
Do charities pay?
No. Charities apply for sponsorship through your company's public request form, free of charge, and never pay CorpHands anything.
We have many companies and sites. Will it work?
Yes. Enterprise supports separate brands and companies, with their own admins, plus one combined group view.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export all your data to Excel at any time. After cancellation we delete it within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
Does CorpHands work out our Corporation Tax relief?
It lists the cash donations paid in the accounting period to charities with a register number or HMRC charity reference recorded, gives the total for the Qualifying donations box and flags payments to check. Sponsorship and gifts of equipment or stock are shown separately. Your tax adviser confirms the figure.
Does CorpHands file our social value reports?
No. CorpHands gives you the evidence: community engagement activities, volunteering hours, volunteers, people helped and hours by UK region, for the year or for one campaign, with a CSV. Your company reports to the buyer in the format the contract asks for.
Is CSR spending required by law in the UK?
No. There is no general legal requirement for companies to spend on CSR. Tax relief on charitable donations, social value in public contracts, the section 172 statement and sustainability reporting are where the records matter.
