Good records, by default
No UK law requires companies to spend on CSR. But only some donations qualify for Corporation Tax relief, public buyers score social value and ask for evidence, and boards report on their community impact in the section 172 statement. CorpHands is designed so that the easy way to run your programme is also the well-documented way.
Designed to keep you on the right side of the rules
CorpHands is software. It organises and records your community work. It does not collect or hold donations.
CorpHands helps you keep good records. Your legal and compliance team remains responsible for meeting local rules.
- Donations never pass through CorpHandsYour company pays charities and community organisations directly. We only record the payment and the receipt.

- Consent for every photoBeneficiary and employee photos carry a consent record before they can be shared.
- An audit trail behind every numberEach figure in your donations, community investment and social value reports links to the activities, approvals and receipts behind it.
- Your data, where you need itChoose the country your data is hosted in, on request. Or keep it on your own servers.
Rules the software enforces
No money handling
There is no checkout and no wallet. Donation records describe payments your company made directly to a registered charity, with the receipt attached.
No approval without verification
A sponsorship request can only be approved when it is linked to a charity your team has marked verified, or to a public body.
No 'paid' without a receipt
A donation can only be marked paid with a receipt number or an uploaded receipt.
No public photo without consent
Photos showing beneficiaries stay blurred and internal until a consent note is recorded.
No anonymous records
Every hour, request decision and donation is linked to a named person in your company, which supports the record-keeping regulators increasingly expect.
Everything is traceable
The audit log records who approved, declined or changed what, and when.

What matters in the UK
No law requires CSR spending
UK companies are not required to spend a share of profit on CSR. What they deal with is tax relief on charitable giving, social value in public contracts, and what they tell the board and investors about their impact on communities.
Corporation Tax relief on charitable donations
Cash donations to charities are qualifying charitable donations: deducted from total profits in the accounting period they are paid, up to the amount that reduces profits to nil, with no carry-forward. Sponsorship and staff volunteering in work time are business expenses, and donations to a community interest company are not charitable donations. CorpHands lists the qualifying donations for the period and the payments to check.
Social value in public contracts
The Procurement Act 2023 has applied to new procurements since 24 February 2025. Under PPN 002 and its Social Value Model, central government buyers give social value at least 10% of the total score, and suppliers report delivery with standard metrics, by UK region. CorpHands gives you evidence for metrics such as 3bi (community engagement activities), for the year or for one campaign.
Community investment in the B4SI shape
Many UK companies report community investment with the B4SI framework: inputs (cash, time, in-kind and management costs), outputs and impacts. CorpHands records cash, the cost of volunteering time and in-kind gifts in that shape; you add your management costs.
Section 172 and UK SRS
Large companies explain in a section 172 statement how directors had regard to matters including the company's impact on the community. UK SRS S1 and S2 were published on 25 February 2026 for voluntary use; the FCA's final rules (PS26/19, September 2026) ask UK-listed companies to report against UK SRS on a comply-or-explain basis for financial years starting on or after 1 January 2027. CorpHands supplies community figures, not climate disclosures.
Charities, and data protection
CorpHands records each charity's number with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR in Scotland or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, its HMRC charity reference and Companies House number. Nothing is required and nothing is blocked. Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record.
