Compliance by design

Good records, by default

Nepal's CSR rules ask industries, banks and insurers to set aside at least 1% of net profit, and your auditor and regulator want to see where every rupee went and who benefited. CorpHands is designed so that the easy way to run your programme is also the well-documented way.

Rules the software enforces

No money handling

There is no checkout and no wallet. Donation records describe payments your company made directly to a registered NGO, with the receipt attached.

No approval without verification

A funding request can only be approved when it is linked to an NGO your team has marked verified, with its registration in date.

No 'paid' without a receipt

A donation can only be marked paid with a receipt number or an uploaded receipt.

No public photo without consent

Photos showing beneficiaries stay blurred and internal until a consent note is recorded.

No anonymous records

Every hour, request decision and donation is linked to a named person in your company, which supports the record-keeping regulators increasingly expect.

Everything is traceable

The audit log records who approved, declined or changed what, and when.

CorpHands helps you keep good records. It is not legal advice, and your legal and compliance team remains responsible for meeting the rules in each country where you operate.
Nepal

What matters in Nepal

CSR of 1% of net profit

Companies covered by Nepal's CSR rules set aside at least 1% of their annual net profit and spend it in the next fiscal year. Industries follow the Industrial Enterprises Act 2020 (section 54), banks and financial institutions the Nepal Rastra Bank's CSR guidelines, and insurers the Insurance Authority's rules (2023). CorpHands works out the fund from the net profit you enter, adds what was carried forward and tracks what is spent.

Industries: a plan, affected areas and a report

Medium and large industries, and cottage and small industries above NPR 150 million turnover, spend the fund under an approved annual plan. Under the CSR Implementation Procedure 2025, at least half goes to areas affected by the industry, chosen with the local government, and an expenditure report is due within six months after the fiscal year ends. CorpHands tracks spending in affected areas and shows the report date.

Banks: the Nepal Rastra Bank guidelines (as amended in 2025)

At least 60% of the fund is spent in the year, the rest carried forward. Activity lists go to NRB at least 15 days before each half-year. Commercial banks and national-level institutions spend at least 10% of the fund in each province, and no more than 5% on one programme. Money goes only to government, community or non-profit organisations, with first priority to people in extreme poverty. CorpHands checks the 60%, 10% and 5% figures from your records.

Watch: a draft Company Act amendment

A draft amendment from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (July 2026) would have companies deposit CSR money in a government CSR fund. FNCCI and the Nepal Bankers' Association oppose it. It is not law; CorpHands will follow the final rules.

NGO records

CorpHands records each NGO's District Administration Office registration, Social Welfare Council affiliation, PAN and tax exemption certificate, with expiry dates, and alerts you before one expires. Employee volunteering is not CSR spending; CorpHands reports it separately.

Individual Privacy Act 2018

Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal information, collected with consent and used for a stated purpose. CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record before anything is shared.
