Problems we solve
Community programmes are hard to run on WhatsApp and Excel
These are the issues HR and CSR teams tell us about most.
01
Scattered organisation
Sign-ups, reminders and attendance live in Viber and WhatsApp groups, emails and spreadsheets, and get lost.
02
Weeks lost at report time
The CSR fund figures, the expenditure report and the annual report take weeks to collect, and auditors can't trace where they came from.
03
Too many funding requests
NGOs and community groups write in by email and phone, with no fair, documented way to decide.
04
NGO records hard to track
It is hard to keep each NGO's District Administration Office registration, Social Welfare Council affiliation and tax exemption up to date, and renewals are missed.
05
No view of the CSR fund
CSR spending sits in separate spreadsheets, so nobody can say how much of the 1% fund is spent, in which provinces, or what will be carried forward.
06
Low participation
The same few people volunteer every time, and most staff never hear about activities.
07
Photos without consent
Pictures of beneficiaries, often children, get shared without permission. Consent should be on record first.
08
Untracked volunteer leave
Paid volunteering days are not recorded, so managers don't know who is away.
09
No proof of impact
Nobody measures whether programmes helped anyone, or whether employees found them worthwhile.
10
No group-wide picture
Groups with many companies and sites can't see one combined view.

Nepal
What matters in Nepal
CSR of 1% of net profit
Companies covered by Nepal's CSR rules set aside at least 1% of their annual net profit and spend it in the next fiscal year. Industries follow the Industrial Enterprises Act 2020 (section 54), banks and financial institutions the Nepal Rastra Bank's CSR guidelines, and insurers the Insurance Authority's rules (2023). CorpHands works out the fund from the net profit you enter, adds what was carried forward and tracks what is spent.
Industries: a plan, affected areas and a report
Medium and large industries, and cottage and small industries above NPR 150 million turnover, spend the fund under an approved annual plan. Under the CSR Implementation Procedure 2025, at least half goes to areas affected by the industry, chosen with the local government, and an expenditure report is due within six months after the fiscal year ends. CorpHands tracks spending in affected areas and shows the report date.
Banks: the Nepal Rastra Bank guidelines (as amended in 2025)
At least 60% of the fund is spent in the year, the rest carried forward. Activity lists go to NRB at least 15 days before each half-year. Commercial banks and national-level institutions spend at least 10% of the fund in each province, and no more than 5% on one programme. Money goes only to government, community or non-profit organisations, with first priority to people in extreme poverty. CorpHands checks the 60%, 10% and 5% figures from your records.
Watch: a draft Company Act amendment
A draft amendment from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (July 2026) would have companies deposit CSR money in a government CSR fund. FNCCI and the Nepal Bankers' Association oppose it. It is not law; CorpHands will follow the final rules.
NGO records
CorpHands records each NGO's District Administration Office registration, Social Welfare Council affiliation, PAN and tax exemption certificate, with expiry dates, and alerts you before one expires. Employee volunteering is not CSR spending; CorpHands reports it separately.
Individual Privacy Act 2018
Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal information, collected with consent and used for a stated purpose. CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record before anything is shared.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the current rules with your legal team.

Your account and all its data hosted in the country you choose
Fully managed by CorpHands: updates, backups and monitoring included
No. Your company pays NGOs and community organisations directly from its own bank account. CorpHands only records the payment and stores the receipt.
Is CorpHands available in Nepali?
Not yet. For companies in Nepal, CorpHands is in English today. Nepali is planned.
Where is our data stored?
On the secure CorpHands cloud. If your policy requires a specific hosting country, we can host your account there on request. Or choose private hosting on your own servers.
How does private hosting work?
We install CorpHands on your servers or your company's cloud account and maintain it for you. It costs NPR 15,00,000 one-time setup plus NPR 7,50,000 per year, on top of an Enterprise plan.
What does the free trial include?
30 days with every feature included, so you can try the full product. No payment card is needed.
How long is the contract?
One year, paid yearly. You can change plans at renewal.
How fast can we start?
Most companies are running within a day: upload your employee list, add your NGO partners and publish your first activity.
Do NGOs pay?
No. NGOs apply for funding through your company's request form, free of charge, and never pay CorpHands anything.
We have many companies and sites. Will it work?
Yes. Enterprise supports separate brands and companies, with their own admins, plus one combined group view.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export all your data to Excel at any time. After cancellation we delete it within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
Does employee volunteering count as CSR spending?
No. Employee volunteering is not CSR spending under Nepal's rules. CorpHands keeps volunteer hours separate from the CSR fund and reports them for your annual report and GRI 413.
Does CorpHands send our plan to Nepal Rastra Bank or file our CSR report?
No. CorpHands works out the fund, checks the rules and shows the deadlines from the figures you enter. Your company prepares and sends its plans and reports. Confirm the figures with your auditor.
What about the proposed government CSR fund?
A draft Company Act amendment (July 2026) would have companies deposit CSR money in a government fund. It is not law. CorpHands follows the current rules and will follow the final ones.
