Problems we solve
Community programmes are hard to run on WhatsApp and Excel
These are the issues HR and CSR teams tell us about most.
01
Scattered organisation
Sign-ups, reminders and attendance live in WhatsApp groups, emails and spreadsheets, and get lost.
02
Weeks lost at report time
The CSR fund figures, the annual report and ESG figures take weeks to collect, and auditors can't trace where they came from.
03
Too many funding requests
NGOs write in by email and phone, with no fair, documented way to decide.
04
NGO records hard to track
It is hard to keep each NGO's Registrar of Associations, NSIF and MRA details up to date, and documents expire unnoticed.
05
No view of the CSR fund
CSR spending sits in separate spreadsheets, so nobody can say how much of the fund is spent, what the MRA is owed and when, or what will be left to remit.
06
Low participation
The same few people volunteer every time, and most staff never hear about activities.
07
Photos without consent
Pictures of beneficiaries, often children, get shared without permission. Consent should be on record first.
08
Untracked volunteer leave
Paid volunteering days are not recorded, so managers don't know who is away.
09
No proof of impact
Nobody measures whether programmes helped anyone, or whether employees found them worthwhile.
10
No group-wide picture
Groups with many brands and sites can't see one combined view.

Mauritius
What matters in Mauritius
Income Tax Act, section 50L: the CSR fund
Every company, apart from listed exceptions such as Global Business companies, sets up a CSR fund of 2% of its chargeable income of the preceding income year. A share goes to the MRA, which passes it to the National Social Inclusion Foundation (NSIF): 75% up to 2025, 50% for 2026 and 75% again from 1 January 2027, time-apportioned when an income year spans a change. CorpHands works out the fund and the MRA's share from the figures you enter.
Paying the MRA's share
Companies under the Advance Payment System pay 25% of the MRA's share with each of the first three APS statements and the rest with the annual return; other companies pay it with the annual return. Money the company has not spent on its own CSR programmes by the end of the income year is remitted with the annual return too. CorpHands shows each instalment with its due date and records what you have paid.
Priority areas, and what doesn't count
The company spends the rest of the fund on CSR programmes in the priority areas, such as health, education and training, environment, family protection, people with disabilities, poverty alleviation and social housing, mainly for people on the Social Register of Mauritius. Staff welfare, marketing sponsorship and political, trade union or religious causes don't qualify. Employee volunteering does not count toward the fund; CorpHands reports it separately.
NGO records
No registration is legally required before you fund an NGO from your CSR fund, but checking protects your company. CorpHands records each NGO's Registrar of Associations number, BRN, NSIF registration and MRA charitable institution approval, and alerts you before a document expires.
National Code of Corporate Governance
Public-interest entities report on sustainability and social matters on an apply-and-explain basis. CorpHands gives you traceable community figures for that section, with indicative GRI references.
Data Protection Act 2017
Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal data. CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record before anything is shared.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the current rules with your legal team.

Is CorpHands available in French?
Not yet. For companies in Mauritius, CorpHands is in English today. French is planned.
Where is our data stored?
On the secure CorpHands cloud. If your policy requires a specific hosting country, we can host your account there on request. Or choose private hosting on your own servers.
How does private hosting work?
We install CorpHands on your servers or your company's cloud account and maintain it for you. It costs Rs 650,000 one-time setup plus Rs 330,000 per year, on top of an Enterprise plan.
What does the free trial include?
30 days with every feature included, so you can try the full product. No payment card is needed.
How long is the contract?
One year, paid yearly. You can change plans at renewal.
How fast can we start?
Most companies are running within a day: upload your employee list, add your NGO partners and publish your first activity.
Do NGOs pay?
No. NGOs apply for funding through your company's request form, free of charge, and never pay CorpHands anything.
We have many brands and sites. Will it work?
Yes. Enterprise supports separate brands, with their own admins, plus one combined group view.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export all your data to Excel at any time. After cancellation we delete it within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
Does employee volunteering count towards our CSR fund?
No. Employee volunteering does not reduce the section 50L CSR fund. CorpHands keeps volunteer hours separate from CSR spending and reports them for your annual report and GRI 413.
Does CorpHands pay the MRA or file our return?
No. CorpHands works out the fund, the MRA's share and the instalment dates from the figures you enter, and records the remittances you make. Your company pays the MRA and files its return. Confirm the figures with your tax adviser.
How does CorpHands fit with Mo Volonter?
The NSIF runs Mo Volonter, the free national volunteering app, and the Volontariat pou Moris campaign. CorpHands is the company-side tool: it runs your own employee programme, NGO partners, CSR fund records and reporting, and works alongside them.
