Problems we solve
Community programmes are hard to run on WhatsApp and Excel
These are the issues HR and CSR teams tell us about most.
01
Scattered organisation
Sign-ups, reminders and attendance live in Teams chats, WhatsApp groups, emails and spreadsheets, and get lost.
02
Weeks lost at report time
Deductible donations for the tax return, community investment figures and sustainability report data take weeks to collect, and nobody can trace where they came from.
03
Donations below the line
A donation only counts for tax relief if the charity has a CHY number in force and gets at least €250 in the period. Nobody checks until the return is due.
04
Charity details hard to track
It is hard to keep each charity's Registered Charity Number, CHY number and its expiry date, and documents up to date, and reviews are missed.
05
Donations mixed with sponsorship
Community spending sits in separate spreadsheets, so nobody can say what was a donation, what was sponsorship and which charities had a CHY number.
06
Low participation
The same few people volunteer every time, and most staff never hear about activities.
07
Photos without consent
Pictures of beneficiaries get shared without permission. Under the GDPR, consent should be on record first.
08
Untracked volunteer leave
Paid volunteering days are not recorded, so managers don't know who is away.
09
No proof of impact
Nobody measures whether activities helped anyone, or whether employees found them worthwhile.
10
No group-wide picture
Groups with many companies and sites can't see one combined view.

Ireland
What matters in Ireland
No law requires CSR spending
Irish companies are not required to spend a share of profit on CSR. What they deal with is tax relief on donations to charities, sustainability reporting for the largest groups, and what they tell the board, staff and investors about their impact on communities.
Tax relief under the Charitable Donation Scheme
Under section 848A of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, a company deducts a donation to an approved body, such as a charity authorised by Revenue (with a CHY number), as a trading expense in the accounting period in which it is paid. Donations to one body must total at least €250 in the period and must not benefit the company, so sponsorship doesn't count. CorpHands lists the deductible donations for the period and the charities to check.
CSRD, narrowed by the Omnibus
Ireland transposed the CSRD with the European Union (Corporate Sustainability Reporting) Regulations 2024. The EU's Omnibus I Directive, in force since 18 March 2026 and due to be transposed by 19 March 2027, narrows the scope to companies with more than 1,000 employees and more than €450 million net turnover; companies newly in scope report first in 2028, for financial years starting on or after 1 January 2027, under simplified ESRS. CorpHands supplies community figures (ESRS S3 and S1), not climate disclosures.
Community investment in the B4SI shape
Many companies in Ireland report community investment with the B4SI framework: inputs (cash, time, in-kind and management costs), outputs and impacts. CorpHands records cash, the cost of volunteering time and in-kind gifts in that shape; you add your management costs.
Charities, and data protection
Charities register with the Charities Regulator (Registered Charity Number, RCN), and Revenue authorises eligible charities for the scheme (CHY number, for up to five years). CorpHands records both, with the CHY expiry date, and the CRO number. Nothing is required and nothing is blocked. Employee details and photos of beneficiaries are personal data under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; CorpHands acts as your data processor and keeps photo consent on record.

Your account and all its data hosted in the country you choose
Fully managed by CorpHands: updates, backups and monitoring included
No. Your company pays charities directly from its own bank account. CorpHands only records the donation and stores the charity's receipt.
Does CorpHands collect donations from employees or the public?
No. CorpHands does not process donations. It records your company's volunteering and the payments your company makes to charities, each marked as a donation or sponsorship.
Where is our data stored?
On the secure CorpHands cloud. If your policy requires a specific hosting country, we can host your account there on request. Or choose private hosting on your own servers.
How does private hosting work?
We install CorpHands on your servers or your company's cloud account and maintain it for you. It costs €28,000 one-time setup plus €14,000 per year, on top of an Enterprise plan.
What does the free trial include?
30 days with every feature included, so you can try the full product. No payment card is needed.
How long is the contract?
One year, paid yearly. You can change plans at renewal.
How fast can we start?
Most companies are running within a day: upload your employee list, add your charity partners and publish your first activity.
Do charities pay?
No. Charities apply for sponsorship through your company's public request form, free of charge, and never pay CorpHands anything.
We have many companies and sites. Will it work?
Yes. Enterprise supports separate brands and companies, with their own admins, plus one combined group view.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can export all your data to Excel at any time. After cancellation we delete it within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
Does CorpHands work out our tax deduction for donations?
It lists the cash donations paid in the accounting period, charity by charity. A charity counts when it has a CHY number in force on the payment date and received at least €250 from you in the period. Charities to check are listed with the reason, and sponsorship and in-kind gifts are shown separately. Your tax adviser confirms the figure.
Does CorpHands produce our CSRD sustainability statement?
No. It supplies community figures with their source: community activities and people helped (ESRS S3), and volunteering hours and volunteers as entity-specific information (ESRS S1). Climate and other disclosures come from elsewhere.
Is CSR spending required by law in Ireland?
No. There is no legal requirement for companies to spend on CSR. Tax relief on donations under the Charitable Donation Scheme and sustainability reporting are where the records matter.
