What it is

You choose your company's country when you sign up. For a company in Nepal, CorpHands shows amounts in Nepalese rupees with Nepali digit grouping (NPR 2,25,000) and uses Nepal time (UTC+05:45) for activity times and reports.

Reports, budgets and the CSR fund follow the Nepali fiscal year: from 1 Shrawan to the end of Asar in the Bikram Sambat calendar, about mid-July to mid-July. The year is named the Nepali way: FY 2083/84 runs from 17 July 2026 to 16 July 2027. CorpHands has the exact Nepali calendar dates of 1 Shrawan built in for each year from 2015 to 2032, so you don't have to convert dates yourself.

The country also sets the list prices you are offered and how invoices treat tax. Prices exclude VAT. We invoice from abroad, so your company pays the VAT itself under reverse charge. The interface is in English. Nepali is planned.

What you can use it for

  • Record budgets, CSR spending and receipts in Nepalese rupees.
  • Group reports, budgets and the CSR fund by Nepali fiscal year (for example FY 2083/84).
  • Change the year if your company reports on a different basis, for example a calendar year.
  • Add your PAN / VAT number so it is printed on our invoices to you.
  • Use Nepal time for activity times, reminders and audit-log filters.

How to do it

Check your country

  1. Open SettingsGo to CSR workspace → Settings.
  2. Company profileIn Company profile, check that Country is Nepal.
  3. SaveSelect Save.

Set the fiscal year

  1. Open ReportingIn Settings, find Reporting. It shows the current year, such as FY 2083/84.
  2. Choose the startUnder Fiscal year starts in, keep the country default, Nepali fiscal year (1 Shrawan to end of Asar), or pick a month, such as January for a calendar year.
  3. SaveAdd your PAN / VAT number, then save. Every report, budget and the CSR fund page now group your data by this year.

Tips and good practice

  • Set the year before you record budgets and spending, because changing it changes how every report groups your data. The CSR fund for a year is worked out from the net profit of the year before.
  • Dates in CorpHands are shown in the Gregorian calendar; the fiscal year boundaries follow the Nepali calendar.
  • Each invoice keeps its own currency and prints in it.
  • The website has a Nepal version at /np with prices in Nepalese rupees.
  • Country notes on the website are general information, not legal or tax advice. Check local rules with your advisers.

Questions

Are prices live currency conversions?

No. Nepal has fixed list prices in Nepalese rupees. See Pricing.

Is VAT added to our invoices?

No. Prices exclude VAT. We invoice from abroad, so your company pays the VAT itself under reverse charge, and the invoice says so. Ask your tax adviser how this applies to you.

Why does FY 2083/84 start on 17 July 2026?

That is 1 Shrawan 2083 in the Bikram Sambat calendar, the first day of Nepal's fiscal year. The date moves by a day or so from year to year, and CorpHands follows the official calendar.

Is CorpHands available in Nepali?

Not yet. It is in English today, and Nepali is planned.
