What it is
CorpHands serves the six GCC countries: Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. You choose your company's country when you sign up, and you can change it later in Settings.
The country decides the currency for budgets, donations and invoices, the list prices you are offered, whether VAT is added to your invoices, and the time zone CorpHands uses for dates. GCC countries do not use daylight saving, so each time zone is a fixed offset from UTC.
What you can use it for
- Show amounts in your currency: OMR, AED, SAR, QAR, BHD or OMR, with the right number of decimals (three for Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman).
- Add VAT to invoices where it applies: 5% in the UAE and Oman, 10% in Bahrain and 15% in Saudi Arabia. No VAT is added in Kuwait or Qatar.
- Use your local time zone for activity times, reports and audit-log filters.
- On Enterprise, record a country for each person and each activity, and limit a coordinator to one country.
- Choose the company's default language (English or Arabic) in the same Company profile card.
How to do it
Change your company's country
- Open SettingsGo to CSR workspace → Settings.
- Choose the countryIn Company profile, open Country. Each option shows the country and its currency.
- SaveSelect Save. Read the warning first: new amounts, prices and dates use the new country from now on, but amounts already recorded are not converted.
Run several countries (Enterprise)
- Set each person's countryOpen a person in People and set Country.
- Set each activity's countryWhen you create or edit an activity, choose its Country.
- Scope coordinatorsOpen a coordinator and set Country under Coordinator scope so they manage only that country's activities and people.
Tips and good practice
- Change the country before you record budgets and donations. Existing budgets, donations and invoices keep the currency they were recorded in.
- Each invoice keeps its own currency and prints in it, even if you change country later.
- The public website has a version for each country and language, for example /ae and /ae-ar, with local prices. The international pages show Kuwait prices as a reference.
- Country notes on the website are general information, not legal or tax advice. Check local rules with your advisers.
Questions
Our group operates in three GCC countries. Which country do we pick?
Pick the country that is invoiced, usually the head office. On Enterprise you can then tag people and activities with their own countries for reporting and coordinator scopes.
Are prices live currency conversions?
No. Each country has fixed local list prices. See Pricing for the current prices in your country.
Does CorpHands detect our country automatically?
The website may suggest a country based on your connection, but it never redirects you and stores nothing about it on the server. You always choose the country yourself.
Can employees use CorpHands in Arabic if the company default is English?
Yes. The default language is used for new people and emails, and each person can change their own language.
