What it is

The donation register is the list of every donation your company makes to an NGO in a year: the date, NGO, programme, purpose, amount, cash or in-kind, status and receipt. It sits on the Budget page and feeds the programme totals, each NGO's page and your reports.

«CorpHands» never handles money. Each record documents a payment your company made directly to a registered NGO, backed by the NGO's official receipt. A donation cannot be marked paid without a receipt number or file, so every paid amount can be traced.

What you can use it for

  • Record cash grants and in-kind support, such as food baskets, equipment or services, at their value.
  • See approved funding requests arrive as committed donations, linked back to the request.
  • Attach the NGO's receipt when payment is made.
  • Filter by status, type, programme or NGO, and export to CSV for finance or auditors.
  • See the total recorded donations on each NGO's page.

Tips and good practice

  • Ask the NGO for an official receipt for every payment, including in-kind gifts, and attach it here.
  • Check the NGO's registration before you record a donation. Requests can't be approved for an NGO with an expired registration, but the register itself does not block a manual entry.
  • Use Edit to correct a record. Changes are kept in the audit log.
  • The From a request link on a row takes you back to the original application.
  • For each payment, set the Type of CSR spending (CSR project, administrative overhead or impact assessment) and, if it differs from the project, the Schedule VII item. Use Paid from → Unspent CSR Account only for money moved there in an earlier year. Only paid amounts count towards your obligation.
