What it is

At year end the same figures go into several places: the Corporation Tax return, the community section of your annual report and, for groups in scope, the CSRD sustainability statement. The Ireland report pack (Ireland giving and community reporting pack) takes your CorpHands data for a fiscal year and lays it out as an Excel (XLSX) or CSV file you can check and copy from.

CorpHands prepares data only. It does not file anything with Revenue, and the pack is not an official form. Confirm the tax figures with your adviser. The Giving and reporting page also has a CSV for the year.

What you can use it for

  • Charitable donations: each charity with its RCN, CHY number, the amount paid and the amount deductible under the Charitable Donation Scheme, and the total.
  • B4SI inputs: cash, time (approved hours × the value of a volunteer hour), in-kind, and sponsorship shown within cash. Management costs are left blank for you to add.
  • Indicators: the GRI, B4SI and ESRS rows from the framework mapping.
  • Impact, Charity partners and Activities & evidence: impact metrics, your partners and each activity with approved hours and partner sign-off.

Tips and good practice

  • Set your fiscal year to match your accounting period before year end, because donations are deducted in the period in which they are paid.
  • The value of volunteer time is hours × your company's value of a volunteer hour (Settings). It is an estimate; say so when you report it.
  • Every pack download is recorded in the audit log.

Questions

Does CorpHands file our Corporation Tax return?

No. CorpHands prepares the figures. Your company and its advisers file the return.

Why is a donation not in the deductible total?

It is not paid, not dated in the year, not in cash, marked as sponsorship, the charity has no CHY number in force on the payment date, or the charity received less than €250 in the period. The Giving and reporting page lists the charities to check with the reason.
