What it is

You choose your company's country when you sign up. For a company in Ireland, CorpHands shows amounts in euro (€1,400, with cent where needed), dates in day-month-year order, and uses Irish time for activity times, reminders and reports. Irish time is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in winter and Irish Standard Time (IST) in summer, and CorpHands handles the change for you: an activity at 9:00 stays at 9:00 local time all year.

Reports, budgets and the Giving and reporting page follow your fiscal year, which runs from January to December by default and is shown as the year, for example 2026. Set it to match your company's accounting period, because donations are deducted under the Charitable Donation Scheme in the accounting period in which they are paid. A year starting in April is shown as FY 2026-27 (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027).

The country also sets the list prices you are offered and how invoices treat tax. Prices exclude VAT. We invoice from abroad, so your company accounts for the VAT itself under the reverse charge, at the Irish rate of 23%. The interface is in English.

What you can use it for

  • Record budgets, donations and receipts in euro.
  • Group reports, budgets and deductible donations by fiscal year.
  • Set the year to your accounting period, for example April to March.
  • Add your VAT number so it is printed on our invoices to you.
  • Use Irish time, with summer time, for activity times, reminders and audit-log filters.

How to do it

Check your country

  1. Open SettingsGo to CSR workspace → Settings.
  2. Company profileIn Company profile, check that Country is Ireland.
  3. SaveSelect Save.

Set the fiscal year

  1. Open ReportingIn Settings, find Reporting. It shows the current year, such as 2026.
  2. Choose the startUnder Fiscal year starts in, keep the country default, January, or pick the first month of your accounting period, such as April.
  3. SaveAdd your VAT number, then save. Every report, budget and the Giving and reporting page now group your data by this year.

Tips and good practice

  • Set the year before you record budgets and donations, because changing it changes how every report groups your data.
  • If your accounting period does not start at the beginning of a month, or is shorter than 12 months, choose the nearest month and check the deductible donations with your tax adviser.
  • Each invoice keeps its own currency and prints in it.
  • The website has an Irish version at /ie with prices in euro.
  • Country notes on the website are general information, not legal or tax advice. Check local rules with your advisers.

Questions

Are prices live currency conversions?

No. Ireland has fixed list prices in euro. See Pricing.

Is VAT added to our invoices?

No. Prices exclude VAT. We invoice from abroad, so your company accounts for the VAT itself under the reverse charge, and the invoice says so. Ask your tax adviser how this applies to you.

Why does the year start in January?

It is the default for Ireland. Many companies' accounting periods are different, so set the start month in Settings → Reporting.

What happens to activity times when the clocks change?

Nothing you need to do. Times are stored in Irish time and CorpHands applies GMT or IST for each date.
