Leaderboards and campaign goals

Compare departments and choose how you appear on the colleagues leaderboard: hidden, by name or by an alias. Hidden is the default.

What it is

A little friendly competition helps participation. Top contributors on My impact has two views: Departments, ranked by the share of people who took part and then by hours, and Colleagues, the people with the most confirmed hours this year.

You decide how you appear to colleagues. Choose Hidden to show as Colleague (name hidden), My name to show your real name, or An alias to show a nickname you pick, such as "Desert Falcon". Your hours count for your department whatever you choose, and your CSR team always sees real names in their own screens.

For team challenges, the CSR team can run a campaign with an hours goal. Home then shows the company's progress towards the goal and your own department's hours.

What you can use it for

  • Encourage departments to raise their participation rate, not just total hours
  • Recognise top volunteers who are happy to be named
  • Let people join the fun under a nickname without sharing their name
  • Run a time-limited campaign, such as Daan Utsav or Independence Day, with a shared hours goal
  • Let modest volunteers take part without being singled out

How to do it

Choose how you appear (employee)

  1. Open the settingGo to Profile → How you appear on the colleagues leaderboard, or open My impact and select Change under the leaderboard.
  2. Pick an optionChoose Hidden, My name or An alias. For an alias, type 2–24 letters, numbers or spaces. Email addresses and links are not allowed.
  3. SaveSelect Save. The leaderboard shows your choice straight away.

Set the default for new people (CSR admin)

  1. Open SettingsGo to CSR workspace → Settings → Policies.
  2. Choose the defaultTick or untick Show employees on leaderboards by default and save. It applies to people who join after the change, and everyone can still change it for themselves.

Run a team challenge (CSR admin)

  1. Create a campaignIn Campaigns, create a campaign with dates and an hours goal (or start from a template), and link its activities.
  2. Let people follow itWhile the campaign is running, Home shows its progress bar and the employee's department hours, with a See activities button.

Tips and good practice

  • The department view ranks by participation first, so small teams can compete with large ones.
  • Hidden colleagues still appear in the ranking with their department and hours, just without a name.
  • Ask employees to choose respectful aliases. The CSR team sees who is behind each one.
  • Only confirmed hours count, so approve hours promptly during a campaign.
