What it is

Numbers tell management what happened. Stories tell employees why it mattered. An impact story is a short article about an activity or a campaign: who was helped, what changed and what volunteers said, with a cover photo from your photo library.

Published stories appear in the employee app under Impact stories, and the latest one is shown on everyone's home page. Each story can link to its activity, so readers can see the details and join the next one.

Photos are checked for you. You can only choose approved photos that show no beneficiaries, or whose consent status allows internal or public use. If a photo's consent changes later, it is hidden from the story automatically.

What you can use it for

  • Share what a Daan Utsav campaign achieved, with a photo from the day
  • Thank an NGO partner and the volunteers who joined
  • Encourage people to sign up for the next activity
  • Keep a written record of highlights for the annual report

Tips and good practice

  • Don't name beneficiaries without their consent. Describe the change, not the person.
  • Use real figures from the activity page, such as meals packed or people helped.
  • Keep it short: three short paragraphs and one good photo work best on a phone.
  • Ask volunteers for a sentence about the day; quotes from colleagues make stories real.

Questions

Why can't I choose a certain photo?
