What it is

The People page lists everyone in your company's CorpHands workspace. Each person has a role, a department, a line manager, a job title and an employee number. The page header shows how many seats are in use and how many invitations have not been accepted yet.

Getting this structure right early pays off later. Department breakdowns in the ESG report, line managers' My team view and coordinator scopes all depend on it. Many Gulf groups run several brands across several GCC countries; on Enterprise you can record both for each person and each activity.

What you can use it for

  • Invite one person with a role, department, line manager and job title.
  • Import up to 2,000 employees at once from a CSV file. Departments in the file are created automatically and managers are linked from the same file.
  • Filter by department, role and status (Active, Invited, Deactivated, Everyone) and search by name, email or employee number.
  • Resend or cancel invitations that have not been accepted.
  • Deactivate people who leave, so they can no longer sign in while their past hours stay in your reports.
  • On Enterprise, add brands and set each person's brand and country.

How to do it

Invite one person

  1. Open PeopleGo to CSR workspace → People.
  2. Fill in Invite someoneEnter the email address. Optionally add the name, role, department, line manager and job title.
  3. Send the invitationSelect Send invitation. The person receives an email in their language with a link that works for 14 days. If it expires, select Resend in the list.

Import many people from CSV

  1. Download the templateOn People, select Import from CSV and download corphands-people-template.csv.
  2. Fill in one row per personColumns: email, name, department, role, manager_email, employee_no, phone. Only email is required. Role can be employee, manager, coordinator, auditor or admin; anything else becomes employee.
  3. Upload the fileChoose the file (UTF-8 CSV, up to 2 MB and 2,000 rows) and select Import and send invitations. CorpHands shows how many people were invited, how many were skipped (already members or duplicates) and which rows had an invalid email.

Set up departments and brands

  1. Open the listOn People, select Departments (on Enterprise: Departments and brands).
  2. Add names in both languagesSelect Add department and give an English name and, if you like, an Arabic name. On Enterprise, use Add brand in the same way.
  3. Assign peopleOpen a person from the People list, choose the department (and brand and country on Enterprise), then select Save.

Tips and good practice

  • Put managers in the same file as their teams. CorpHands links managers after it creates everyone, so the row order does not matter.
  • Owners and CSR admins count toward your plan's CSR-admin limit. Coordinators and auditors do not.
  • Only an owner can add or change owners, and the company always needs at least one active owner.
  • Deactivate leavers instead of deleting them. Deactivation signs the person out of your company straight away and keeps their history for reporting.
  • If your HR system is the source of truth, Enterprise customers can use HR system sync or the REST API instead of repeated imports.

Questions

What happens when we reach our seat limit?

CorpHands stops invitations and imports that would go over the limit and shows a link to Plan and billing. A CSV import is checked as a whole: if the file would exceed your seats, nobody from it is invited, so split the file or upgrade first.

Do invited people use a seat?

Yes. An invited person is an active member who has not set a password yet. Cancel invitations you no longer need to free the seat.

The person already uses CorpHands with another company. Can I still add them?

Yes. They must accept your invitation before they join your workspace. Until then their membership stays inactive and their details stay private.

Can I export the people list?

There is no export button on People today. Owners and CSR admins can download all company data, including members, from Settings → Your data. Enterprise customers can also list employees through the API.
