What it is
HR system sync adds new joiners, updates departments, job titles and managers, and can deactivate leavers, so your CSR team does not maintain the employee list by hand.
CorpHands pulls directly from BambooHR or from a CSV file at an HTTPS address. For Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM and similar systems, CorpHands does not pull directly: your HR system pushes employees to the CorpHands REST API using its own integration tools.
What you can use it for
- Add new employees automatically, with or without an email invitation.
- Keep department, job title, employee number and line manager in line with HR.
- Deactivate people who are no longer in the HR feed (optional, off by default).
- Run the sync every day at 02:00 UTC, or only when you select Run now.
- Review the last runs with counts of people added, updated and deactivated, and any problems.
How to do it
Connect BambooHR or a CSV file
- Choose the sourceUnder HR system sync, set Source to BambooHR or CSV file from a URL.
- Enter the connectionBambooHR: the company domain (the part before
.bamboohr.com) and an API key from a user who can see the employee directory. CSV: an HTTPS link and, if needed, a bearer token. CSV columns:email, name, department, job_title, employee_no, role, manager_email, active(only email is required). - Choose the optionsPick the Schedule, tick Sync enabled, and decide on Email an invitation to new people and Deactivate people missing from the source. Save, then select Run now and check Run history.
Push from Workday, SAP or another system
- Choose pushSet Source to My HR system pushes to the API.
- Create an API keyUnder API keys, create a key with the Create, update and deactivate employees permission.
- Schedule the pushAsk your integration team to call
POST /api/v1/employeeson a schedule with Workday Studio or EIB, SAP Integration Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud, or a tool such as Power Automate.
Tips and good practice
- Turn on Deactivate people missing from the source only when the feed always contains your full employee list. An empty or failed feed never deactivates anyone.
- Feeds can set only the employee or line manager role. Owners, CSR admins, coordinators and auditors are never created, changed or deactivated by a feed.
- If invitations are off, new people can still join later through single sign-on or an invitation you send from People.
- Seat limits apply. Rows over the limit appear as problems in the run history.
Questions
Is there a direct Workday or SAP connector?
No. Use the API push described above. It gives your HR team full control of what is sent and when.
What if an employee already uses CorpHands with another company?
They are invited, not attached silently. They join your workspace after accepting.
Can I map custom HR fields?
Not today. CorpHands reads the fixed columns listed above. There is no field-mapping screen yet.
Is the connection secure?
CorpHands fetches over HTTPS only, with a 15-second timeout and a 5 MB limit, and blocks private network addresses. BambooHR keys and CSV tokens are stored encrypted, and every run is recorded in the audit log.
