What it is
Hours show effort. Impact metrics show results: meals served, food baskets packed, trees planted, students supported. CorpHands starts every company with a default set, and you can add your own units in English and Arabic.
Each metric belongs to a pillar, Social or Environmental, and can be linked to one UN SDG. For each activity, your team records the values. The charity partner can then confirm them through the partner portal. Partner-confirmed values are marked Verified by the charity and are locked; your own entries are marked Self-reported.
The ESG report shows totals split into partner-verified and self-reported, with the share verified. That split is useful evidence when stakeholders ask how you know.
What you can use it for
- Report meals served in Ramadan, with the share confirmed by the food bank.
- Add a custom unit, for example “hearing tests carried out” or “wheelchairs donated”.
- Show voluntary environmental contributions (trees planted, beach area cleaned) separately from social results.
- Ask the charity to confirm attendance, results and photo proof, then sign off the activity.
How to do it
Set up your metrics (owner or admin)
- Open Impact metricsGo to CSR workspace → Impact metrics. The default metrics are listed with this year's total and % verified.
- Add a metricUnder Add metric, enter Name, Name (Arabic), Unit, Unit (Arabic), the Pillar, an optional SDG number and the order.
- Edit or deactivateUse Edit to change a metric, or Deactivate to hide it from new activities without losing past values.
Record values for an activity
- Open the activityGo to CSR workspace → Activities and open the activity.
- Enter valuesIn Impact & partner verification, enter a number for each metric that applies and choose Save impact values. Leave others blank.
- Ask the partner to confirmIf the activity is linked to a charity with partner portal users, choose Send to partner for confirmation. They receive a sign-in link by email.
- Check the sign-offWhen the partner signs off, the panel shows Signed off by partner, the signer's name, the attendance confirmed and a short sign-off hash.
Tips and good practice
- You can ask the partner only after the activity has started.
- Add partner portal users on the charity's page first; otherwise the panel tells you there are none.
- Partner attendance confirmation does not create volunteer hours. Hours still come from check-in and approvals.
- Environmental metrics are activity outputs. They are not greenhouse-gas emissions data.
- Coordinators can view metrics and record values; only owners and admins can change the metric list.
Questions
Can I change a value after the partner verified it?
No. Partner-verified values are locked and CorpHands never overwrites them from the admin side.
Where do totals appear?
In Impact totals and Environmental contributions (voluntary) on the ESG report, in the printable report, and in the authority report packs.
Is a partner-verified value audited?
It is confirmed by the charity and recorded in the audit log. It is not an independent audit or assurance.
