Announcements

What it is

Announcements are short news posts from your CSR team to everyone in the company. Each has a title and message in English, with optional Arabic versions. Employees see the latest three on their home screen under News from your CSR team, with pinned posts first, in the language they use CorpHands in.

Use them to launch a campaign, thank volunteers after a big day or explain a policy such as volunteer leave. For a longer piece with a photo about what an activity achieved, write an impact story instead. To invite people to one specific activity by email and WhatsApp, use Announce to employees on the activity page.

What you can use it for

• Launch a Ramadan or National Day campaign and point people to its activities
• Thank volunteers and remind others to rate the activity they attended
• Pin an important notice, such as volunteer leave rules, to the top
• Email a major update to all employees at the same time as posting it

How to do it

Post an announcement

1. Open AnnouncementsGo to CSR workspace → Announcements.
2. Write itUnder New announcement, enter the Title and Message, and the Title in Arabic and Message in Arabic.
3. Choose optionsTick Pin to the top to keep it first, and Also email all employees to send it by email.
4. PublishClick Publish.

Edit or remove an announcement

1. Find itScroll to the list on the same page.
2. EditClick Edit, change the text or pin, and click Save.
3. DeleteClick Delete and confirm when the news is no longer relevant.

Tips and good practice

• Always fill in the Arabic title and message. Employees who use CorpHands in Arabic see the English text if the Arabic is empty.
• Use email sparingly so employees keep reading it. Ticking Also email all employees when you edit sends the email again.
• Unpin old posts so only the current message stays on top.
