What it is
Most companies use the CorpHands cloud: we run the service, apply updates and keep backups, and your team simply signs in. Each company's data is kept separate, and every page and action checks that the signed-in person belongs to that company.
Some organisations, such as government-related entities and banks, have policies that require all data to stay inside their own infrastructure. For them, private hosting installs the same CorpHands software on their own servers or their company's cloud account, and we maintain it.
What you can use it for
- Start quickly on the CorpHands cloud with nothing to install.
- Keep your data inside your own country with the in-country data hosting add-on (on request): your account runs entirely in a region in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait or another GCC country. Settings → Data location shows where your data is stored today.
- Meet an internal policy that data must stay on your own infrastructure, with private hosting.
- Choose the cloud region yourself when you use private hosting, for example a Gulf region offered by your cloud provider.
- Keep files on the server's disk or in S3-compatible object storage; Settings shows which one is in use.
How to do it
Ask about the CorpHands cloud
- Confirm the region in writingAsk your CorpHands contact where your workspace's database, uploaded files and email delivery are hosted, and get the answer in your contract or a written note for your IT and compliance teams.
- Check file storageIn CSR workspace → Settings → Integrations, File storage shows whether files are on the server disk or in object storage.
Request private hosting (Enterprise)
- Request itIn Plan and billing, select Request this plan on the Private hosting card, or contact us.
- Prepare your environmentYour IT team provides a Linux server with Docker or a cloud account we can deploy into, a domain name such as community.yourcompany.com, and SMTP details for sending email.
- Install and hand overWe install CorpHands as standard containers with its own PostgreSQL database and automatic HTTPS, then hand over the platform admin login, backups and an operations guide. Updates and security fixes follow a schedule you approve.
Tips and good practice
- Settings → Data location shows how your company is hosted. If your policy requires a specific country, ask for in-country hosting, and confirm the location in writing before you rely on it for a policy or a regulator.
- Private hosting is the same software as the cloud service, not a separate product, so features match your Enterprise plan.
- Whichever option you choose, owners and CSR admins can download a full copy of the company's data at any time. See Data export.
- Private hosting prices are shown in your currency on Pricing and in Plan and billing.
Questions
Does private hosting need the Enterprise plan?
Yes. Private hosting is an add-on to Enterprise, with a one-time setup and a yearly maintenance fee.
Who runs backups on private hosting?
Your administrators receive a backup setup and an operations guide at handover. Agree in writing who checks backups and tests restores.
Does CorpHands hold a security certification?
Not yet. CorpHands does not hold a formal certification such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2. If your IT team has a security questionnaire, contact us and we will answer it in full.
Where are emails sent from?
On the cloud, through CorpHands' email service. On private hosting, through the SMTP service you provide.
